New Puppy or Kitty?
Pet Name Tips for Naming Your New Puppy or Kitty

Keep the pet name very short: one or two syllable if possible, so it is easier for the puppy to recognize it.
Don't Keep in mind you will have to train your puppy, so try not to name him or her a pet name similar to any commands to avoid confusion. For example, "Snow" sounds like "no". You get the idea.
Remember that if you choose a long puppy name or kitty name, then people will shorten it even if you don't want to. Does the nickname sound good as well?
The pet breed can give you some puppy name ideas, so learning about the breed might be a good idea.
